It's brilliant - so much emotion in these pieces. I also think that when Mr. Byrne draws these characters, anyone seeing the characters for the first time might be encouraged to go out and search for their adventures.

I feel that way about Captain Britain now after seeing him in the commission. It's been decades since I've read a Captain Britain title (possibly a Marvel UK issue or two), but now I want to see him again.

Very nice commission!

Your version of Spider-Man just gets better and better all the time, JB. You
really capture his litheness and energy—something just a handful of others
can do.

I will speculate that you have been "pushing" your technique with non-super hero properties done for the first time (Cold War, The High Ways) recently and that is having an affect. Spectacular commission and the Ditko-ness in that Spider-Man is definitely in the eyes. Grates to the owner and congrats to you JB for continuing to get better.

I don't recall who Captain Britain is, at the moment, but this would certainly cause me to pick up the issue and find out waddup.

Most Byrne commission have an element that leaps out at me and tends to take the lion's share of the attention. In this piece, I would say it's Spider-Man's mask.

It's not Ditko, it's not Romita, yet it "feels" like definitive Spider-Man. If I was EIC of Marvel I'd say, going forward, copy this. I'm of the same opinion regarding JB's Captain America.

I'd go as far as saying that the mask displays an emotion: "determination".

Ooooooooo......I really like this one. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Captain Britain, but there's something about the character I've always liked since I came across him in "Excalibur" and then  a few TPBs they put out of his solo stuff. Nice job JB on capturing a great action pose.

Nice! I am not a huge fan of Captain Britain but this looks great. The Excaliber cover looks as if they were trying to give CB an "X" to go with the rest of the team.
