There is an old saying that it is impossible to write someone smarter than oneself. Apparently some writers believe it is impossible for someone to BE smarter than they are without outside intervention.

Geez. Terrible idea about using The Recorder in that way, you wouldn't want Tony Stark to achieve anything on his own merits.

"Merit" is not a word with a whole lot of coinage in modern comics.

I remember him from the early Thor comics by Jack Kirby.

Now this is an unexpected commission!  Great job making this visual, JB.

My introduction to this character was at the end of the Dark Phoenix saga.  Very memorable experience reading that one for the first time.  His interaction with the Watcher was a perfect coda.

Next we'll discover that Reed's genius is due to Galactus tempering with his genes too.

Great commission, by the way!

Have always liked this guy... he only seems to show up when coolness is about to ensue.  Lovely commission.

Very well done.  I can only imagine how hard it is coming up with an ideal situation to feature the Recorder.  Great piece.  Well done.

Absolute Perfection!  It's been a long time since I've seen The Recorder.
