In an alternate reality, JB successfully pitched his Batman and Robin monthly book and it had a lengthy successful run!!! Would have enjoyed seeing him write and draw stories with the classic Batman and his rogues gallery.
Still, this commission is a joyful glimpse at what could've been...

Has JB ever drawn The Spirit, either in a published comic or as a commission? I think that would be a great fit.

A lot of fun here. All it needs would be the celebrity who pops up in the window, just like the 60's series, but the commissioner did not ask for that.

There's something I really like about this page, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is.
Nevertheless, JB, you really sprang into action on this commission!

Has JB ever drawn The Spirit, either in a published comic or as a commission? ************* He drew him in a "jam" issue back in the 80's. A lot of names in that one and a really cool issue.

Before anyone races off to find that Spirit jam expecting a Byrne-a-palooza, my contribution was one panel, and it's just the Spirit's hand!

I want more 40's era Byrne Batman. Batman/Captain America and specific parts of Generations just wasn't enough for my taste.
