The scale & rapidity that this is being revealed is shocking.
This needs to end up with that guy going to prison. & not some fancy prison for rich guys caught with their hands in a cookie jar, but a prison where he has all his money & thug action bought liberties taken away from him.
He needs to experience the product that his actions have had on other people by having to sleep in a cell that has a bed & little else in it.
Trump keeps saying he is the best or biggest whatever he is talking about, that he knows more about a subject than anyone else who has ever lived.
I genuinely believe he is probably the biggest criminal the USA has ever had. That one I would agree with

It's the president's obligation to ask foreign powers to investigate political rivals.

Here's how I see the problem with Trump:
Trump spent most of his life as the CEO of a privately held company. For the majority of his career, Trump has preferred to run things in private. This means no public accountability, no quarterly or annual taxes to file. Immersed in his own world, he has always believed that he wasn’t required to answer to anybody. And, until he decided to run in 2015, he was right.
Trump really can't grasp or respect the essential fact that he is a public servant now. Public servants are answerable to the public. But 50 years of doing whatever you want and not having to explain any of it is apparently hard to stop.

Greg M. - "The sooner this despicable piece of shit gets held to account for everything the better we'll all be."
Things WILL be better, but I'm afraid that the USA will be scarred for decades after Trump's turn at politics. I, sadly, don't believe he'll be held to account for everything; I don't think anyone could last that many life sentences in prison. Just the Federal charges will probably outlive him.
But you are 100% right; the sooner Trump is gone, the sooner we can try to start healing and fixing the government.
Brian M. - I have to disagree with your assessment. If naught else, the politics of the United States are solely the venue of the United States. Asking - or especially, blackmailing - other nations for help AS THE PRESIDENT is distasteful at best and a felony at most.

Reading some of today's news... Trump apparently demanded that the House vote on Democrats' impeachment inquiry, arguing that he doesn't need to comply with Congress' requests until it does.
Honestly, I can't wait to see someone put Trump in his place and shut him up once and for all.

I'm sure he will confirm, but I presume Brian Miller was being sarcastic, Eric.

i tried a search on google and couldn't find an answer.
there have been subpoenas issued for documents from Pence and Pompeo and they are both refusing - all news outlets are saying that this matter will be settled in "the courts"
- what courts do they mean ? the supreme court ? and why does it take so long, wouldn't the matter of impeachment prioritize and override all other matters before the court ?
(be gentle if the answer is obvious, i'm Canadian)

Probably federal district courts.
And yes, it should. But, you’ve got an administration that does whatever it wants to do, the law be damned, so now the House has to jump thru all these hoops.

Brian, I couldn’t believe it when I read it.
@ what point are people going to realise that this guy is insane. He’s not trolling people, he is insane. No one in their right mind would tweet that.
Everything with him is better than anyone else. He knows more about climate change than anyone else. Really? You studied it? When?
He’s Lex Luther from Superman, trying to set off the nuclear bombs so his real estate portfolio increases, & let’s just forget about all those people who die in the process - they’re only ants anyway. It’s entertaining in a movie, not so much in real life
