Okay, so I'm being greedy at the end of the year:
Have you considered the Elsewhen concept for other properties?  < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">

Thanks for Elsewhen -- issue after issue.

You've explained that you aren't drawing covers because they aren't fun for you.

Was that always the case? Is this an instance of finally being able to enjoy only the fun part and skip one of the chores of the job?

Doing covers for books I’ve worked on has a kind of bin-there-dun-that feel—except, obviously, in those rare instances where the cover comes first. (Toward the end of my run on FF I would often turn in a cover with the promise the scene would be in the issue somewhere!)

I much preferred doing covers for titles I wasn’t working on, tho I came to realize many fans felt “cheated” when my art was on the cover but not inside.

Wolverine was relatively barnacle free when I left UNCANNY. This reset is more because I felt the character had pretty much flatlined, and I wanted a way to add some twists and turns that I hoped youse guys would have some fun with.

Thanks for the answer, as always.

I’ve seen some commentary out there that you’re resetting Wolverine, similar to other characters you’ve reset in the past, due to the buildup of barnacles. I was not seeing that here. It makes more sense that it’s a natural progression of the story you’re having fun telling.

It’s not to say that barnacles had NOT accumulated on Wolverine. They had. Sometimes to the point that it seemed there were more barnacles than character. But most came after I left, so do not figure in ELSEWHEN.

Cool end to this issue- although the brown costume is my favorite, it's fun to see Logan back in the old costume for a bit.

As always, thanks for continuing to create Elsewhen. It's more than a little amazing, thinking you'll be starting issue THIRTY next week! Well, publishing, really- I know you're ahead of that.

Happy New Year, Mr. B! And Happy New Year to the JBF!

The last panel of Elsewhen 29 gave me knots in my stomach and a nervous twitch in my face.

John, you’re scary me…
