Ah, OK. I've never read any issues of the Gruenwald run on Cap. Is it worth looking into? Is it available in a collected format?

Think I've said it a few times on this board but Gruen's run on Cap was excellent. A few trades are appearing here and there but back issues are mostly cheap.
I love Rachel's character - to be honest I can't remember what's she doing now so it might be something bad has happened to her and I've blocked it from my memory.

I've often wished that Cap would date She-Hulk---kind of an opposites attract type of thing.

I wish we got to see more of the She-Hulk - Hercules romance that was alluded to...
Great piece, by the way. Lots of fun. I chuckled when I saw it. Ok, maybe I snickered.

Thanks for the info, Lars & Leigh.Incidentally, I think a Cap/She-Hulk relationship would be loads of fun to read about.

The thing for me about Mark Gruenwald's run on "Captain America" is that it was either really solid and fun stuff, or goofy, with little middle ground. Of course, he had a long run, so it's understandable that not every story would be a winner. I would suggest the "Bloodstone Hunt" storyline, and the story when Steve Rogers resigned as Captain America. I would say the weaker stories were Cap-Wolf, Teen Cap, and Captain America in drag fighting Modam on a boat. But, again, when Gruenwald was on, he was very good.

@ The Chief: I see Cap as being very straight-laced, and I see Jen as being irreverent and free-spirited. That's what I meant by "opposites".
