The inks remind me more of Klaus Janson than George Perez, particularly on Batman's face.
What is the wording on the paper in front of Robin?

George was one of my favorite inkers for a long time - Mark Farmer is up there, as well. Many times on the forum I've said that I wanted to see George ink you again - because between the two, I felt that you were the better penciller and he was the better inker, and thus the combination is just magical, ala ACTION COMICS #600.
But I find myself having to rethink that statement, lately!

It's nice, from my 2nd favorite Batman era -- but I don't see the spotlight.
I see that Batman and Robin are in a strong light source, but nothing behind them shades to indicate a spotlight as on the original cover. The things behind them don't all really shade to match the same strong light source. Some do and some don't -- but none of it defines a spotlight.
I still like it.

LUSH!!! Muscularity on the legs is wicked!
Robin and Batman have obviously been doing their squats!! Love it! Get a bit of a Miller vibe from the Batman face.
